Our Fleet: versatility at sea

The SSV Navicula Star is the beating heart of our fleet. This versatile vessel was specifically built for operations in the shallow Wadden Sea and nearby coastal areas. With a draught of only 1.10 metres, it can operate in ultra-shallow waters and even run aground on the beach.

Specifications & capacity:

The Navicula Star is fully equipped to handle a wide variety of projects.

  • General specifications: The vessel has a length overall (LOA) of 25.95 metres and a width of 7 metres. Its gross tonnage (GRT) is 129. It can reach a speed of 8 knots, powered by two Caterpillar 3306 engines.
  • Capacity and accommodation: There is room on board for 4 crew members and 8 guests, enabling 24-hour operations at sea. The 84m² aft deck can accommodate a 20ft or 10ft container, offering flexibility for additional equipment or a mobile laboratory.
  • Sustainability: We are committed to environmental awareness. The Navicula Star is fuel-efficient and can run on HVO diesel, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of your project.

On board equipment

The vessel is equipped with high-quality systems to work efficiently and safely.

  • A-frame: A robust A-frame with an SWL of 5 tonnes and a lifting height of 7.5 metres. 2 winches with 3 and 1.5 t SWL
  • Knuckle boom crane starboard: A crane with a capacity of 2.52 tonnes at 4.55 metres and 720 kg at 12.45 metres.
  • ROV capacity: There is a permanent Mojave ROV on board. It is equipped with a manipulator arm, blue view sonar and a video camera, and can be deployed via a cage or bullet.
  • Other: The vessel also has two MOB davits with 1000 kg SWL.

Facilities on board

Extensive facilities are available on board for the comfort and efficiency of your team.

  • Accommodation: The vessel has a total of 12 beds available for crew and clients.
  • Kitchen: There is a fully equipped galley.
  • Sanitary facilities: The necessary sanitary facilities are available on board.
  • Workspaces: Various office spaces, ROV Control, WetLab, and 6 workstations are available for your operations.

Yes, she can sail on HVO, GTL, or Fame. 

We can host 8 client crew in 4 cabins.

Yes, we can host 2 ROV’s at the same time. 

We have 1 Aframe of 5 tons SWL, one hydraulic crane which can extend to 11 meter and can lift 2tons. There is a 1ton SWL davit to launch ROV’s.
