FreeStar Subsea Services is a subsea services company, founded on the idea of offering ROV and survey services using our own vessel. Our goal is to increase efficiency, reduce operational risks and accelerate decision-making through detailed data analysis and innovative technologies. ROV inspection and intervention

Our vessel-based ROV operations offer an efficient solution for underwater inspections and interventions. Equipped with advanced ROV technology and deployed from our vessels, we provide accurate and reliable services for offshore infrastructure inspections, subsea construction support, environmental and ecological monitoring and wreck and cable inspections. Remote ROV Operations allow tasks to be performed remotely, increasing both safety and efficiency, ideal for local seabed systems and Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) operations.

Geotechnical survey support

Our vessels provide a stable platform for geotechnical surveys, allowing customers to install their advanced measuring equipment and perform accurate data collection. This enables soil investigations, CPT/Fibrocore sampling, support for offshore constructions and environmental studies, as well as civil infrastructure projects.

Geophysical survey support

We offer specialised support for geophysical surveys, including bathymetric and 2D seismic measurements and magnetometer surveys. Our vessels provide a stable platform for accurate analyses of geological features, seismic activity and site conditions, suitable for offshore exploration, environmental studies and infrastructure projects.

Scientific research

Our vessels are fully equipped to support scientific projects in various marine environments. This includes research into marine biodiversity, water quality monitoring and geological or ecological surveys. Thanks to the shallow draught of the Navicula Star, work can even be carried out in ultra-shallow water.

Guard vessel support

We offer guard vessel support to ensure cable protection and other critical infrastructure. With advanced monitoring and experienced crew, we ensure the safety and integrity of subsea cables and a rapid response to incidents or disruptions.

Smart Vessel Solutions

With our Smart Vessel Optimizer (SVO), we improve maritime operations through real-time data analysis. This speeds up decision-making, reduces operational risks, optimises maintenance and workflows and enables predictive analytics and remote support. In addition, SVO helps monitor energy consumption and CO2 emissions, supporting our sustainability goals.

ESG and sustainability

Sustainability is key to Freestar. Our ROV operations and workshops are electrified and emissions are kept to a minimum. For our diesel-powered Navicula Star we use biofuels such as HVO. With SVO technology we continuously monitor our emissions and energy consumption, contributing to a safe and sustainable future.

Specific services

Freestar offers inspections of drinking water reservoirs, wrecks, dams, locks, offshore locations and cables. Thanks to our versatile vessels, ROVs, pipecrawlers and USVs, we can carry out a wide range of underwater work with high precision and reliability.

White Label Services

Our services can also be offered on a white label basis, allowing customers to serve their own customers with our inspection reports without investing in their own vessels or ROVs.
