The North Sea was 90% covered with oyster beds in the 1800s. To support future oyster beds in windfarms, Wageningen Marine Research commissioned us to perform sand and seabed sampling with the Navicula Star.
Together with a three-person team from our client, we sampled 100 locations for sand and seabed samples. After two days, the vessel returned to port to offload the samples at the laboratory for analysis.
